For people used to fruit juices, green juices can be a little intimidating. But they don't have to be. In addition to packing a powerful nutritional boost, the right greens can add a subtle flavor that really adds to the juice. The lemon in this recipe really balances the celery, and spinach is so mild it complements many other juices, especially carrot.
Simple Green juice
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 celery stalks
- 1/2 lemon
Directions
- Wash all ingredients.
- Remove leaves from celery and cut into small pieces
- Juice the celery and spinach alternately
- Juice the lemon and apples
- Stir
Tip: Because of their long fibers, celery can get wrapped up around augers and clog juicing screens. Make sure to cut it into small pieces to minimize this problem.
