Product description
Sana Smart Bread maker (standard)
The Sana Smart Bread Maker is the result of 20 years experience in bread baking. We have developed a multifunction home bread machine which we feel is the best on the market. This isn't just an empty claim – take a look for yourself at all the things you can do. It is available in three models - basic, standard, and exclusive. The machine itself is the same in all three models - the only difference is the included accessories.
Fully adjustable programs
Programmable technology
The Sana Smart Breadmaker has two memory chips and its software can be easily updated. This means you can try different programs and save the ones you use the most. The electronic "heart" of the bread maker is produced in Europe and is unlike any other bread machine in the world. Being able to choose your own multiple baking and rising times and temperatures gives you complete flexibility.
Unique stainless steel bread pan and kneaders
The Sana Smart Bread Maker standard model comes with a stainless steel bread pan and stainless steel kneaders. Our bread machine is the only one on the market with a stainless steel pan. The pan includes glass lids which keep moisture in, allow lower baking temperatures, and help keep bread from sticking to the uncoated stainless steel. With stainless steel, you can be sure your bread is baked in the safest manner possible.
Kneaders and automatic batch processing
Some bread makers offer folding kneaders or automatic adding of seeds or nuts. The Sana Smart Bread Maker offers a much simpler solution: high-speed kneading. With high-speed kneading, the dough for your bread will be ready in three minutes. After that you can immediately remove the kneaders from the dough, instead of after the bread has been baked. Do you like seeds or nuts spread on top of the bread? Just sprinkle them on the dough after you remove the kneaders.
Multiphase rising
Multiphase rising allows you set two separate rising times and temperatures. One benefit of this is that you can easily prepare homemade yeast. This is the best yeast you can possibly have - far better than what you'd get at the store. In addition, you save time and energy because you don’t have to preheat the bread maker or set a delayed start.
Versatility of Sana bread maker
Tempeh and Natto
Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food known for both its health benefits and its unique walnut-mushroom flavor. It is typically made from soybeans, but can also be made from many other foods such as beans, sunflower seeds, peanuts, peas, rice, and wheat. Previously known mainly among vegetarians and vegans, it is now becoming more widespread and popular. It can be found in most health stores, and is gradually beginning to appear in more mainstream supermarkets. Tempeh is available unflavored, as well as marinated, smoked, and pickled.
Home made yogurt
Have you ever heard of the term “functional” foods? These are food products which, either naturally or artificially, have been enriched with healthy additives. The most widespread functional food in the world is yogurt which naturally contains probiotic bacterial cultures (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium). Because these cultures regulate digestion and help prevent colon cancer, yogurt is considered a superfood which should be eaten daily.
Jam, tea and purees
Most bread machines are able to make jam, but this feature is something most consumers never use. It’s too bad, since it’s so easy to do that most people who’ve tried it never go back to the traditional method of making jam. All you do is put the ingredients into the pan, set the program, start it, and come back later to freshly-prepared jam. The bread maker mixes and cooks the jam for you, and you don’t end up with a stack of dirty pans to clean. This program also can make lard, pig cracklings, jelly, tea, and purees.
Home made bread
There are many reasons for baking bread at home, but the main ones are that you can use your own choice of ingredients and that homemade bread just tastes so much better than store-bought bread. Home-baked bread won’t have any of the chemicals or additives of store bought bread, and it won’t contain the ground remains of old bread like you can find in store-bought bread. Bread made from sourdough starter, instead of from yeast, has better flavor, aroma, and health benefits.
Meat and fish
The Sana Smart Bread is useful not just for baking bread, but as a substitute for a conventional oven. Meat and fish cooked in the Sana Smart Bread Maker are flavorful and juicy, which can’t always be said when using a conventional oven. By using a glass lid with the Smart Bread Maker, the cooking time is shortened and the meat comes out incredibly moist and delicious.
Amasake
Amasake is a thick and creamy traditional Japanese dessert made from fermented grains. Popular among those who follow a macrobiotic lifestyle, this creamy dessert can be enjoyed by anyone. It doesn’t contain any refined sugars or sweeteners, but gets its sweet taste from the natural fermentation process which breaks down the complex sugars. When you first taste this healthy dessert, you’ll think that someone has put sugar into it, but it really is natural.

about this product?
Can I buy an additional stainless steel pan (and kneaders)?
Thank you!
Kind regards
Plastic components used in this machine?
Shipping to the UK is 35€. Note that VAT is removed, but the UK will add import taxes and freight companies may impose a surcharge for processing import paperwork.
Do you ship to Australia?
Many thanks
Cristina
There is a new machine currently being designed for the US market. We hope it will be ready next year.
Do you deliver to Canada?
Thank you
I want to purchase your bread maker.
Will it work in USA?
Does it have gluten free option?
Thanks
I've been waiting years and desperately want this.
Thank you!
For the Sana owners: You can try this method and include it in your video.
Kind regards.
Are you going to have this available in the U.S. any time soon?
Can this be delivered to United States?
Thank you
Kind regards
This bread machine is not compatible with US 110v power. A model is in development for the USA. We are hoping it will be ready late next year.
I live in NY, USA and I would love to buy the Sana Smart Bread Maker. While USA/Canada is listed under the "Country of Delivery" drop down menu during checkout, the only option under the "Billing and Shipping" tab is "personal pickup/own transport" (to an address in the Czech Republic) which is not something I can do (I'm sure I'm not the only one). When will shipping to the USA be available?
Sincerely,
Ellen
We are unable to ship to the USA as our products only work on 220v 50hz power and are incompatible with US 110v 60hz power. Also, our shipper (TNT/FedEx) suspended economy international shipping from central Europe, so shipping costs are exorbitant.
A new model if the bread machine is in development for the US market, and we hope it will be available next year.
I am located in Australia, do you have stockists here? I love that your bread machine has a stainless steel pan as I avoid using non-stick for my family.
Kind regards
All Sana juicers are made in South Korea.
Do you have a US version of your stainless pan bread maker?
Is this breadmaker available with North American voltage (120V)? Also, do you ship to the USA (Portland, OR)? If yes, what is the approximate shipping cost?
Thanks,
Vladimir
The Sana Smart breadmaker isn't compatible with US 110v power. A new model is being developed for the USA and hopefully will be avaialble by the end of the year.
We do not ship to the US, as the rbead maker isn't compatible with US voltage. A new model is in development for the US market which should be available early next year.
Could I become a distributor?
Thank you
A North American 110v 60Hz version should be available in about a year. Most likely there will be a North American distributor who handles the US and Canada.
Best regards
Thank you.
We will send out the glass lids right away.
As is written in the product description, the bread maker doesn't include a printed manual since the programs are constantly being updated. The most current version can be downloaded here: https://www.sana-store.com/admin-data/storage/get/25-sana_breadmaker_en_min.pdf

We hope to have a US model next year.
We hope to have a model available in North America by the end of next year.
We don't have pre-orders yet, as the model is still in development. We plan to have the option to switch between imperial andmetric.
Best regards
Do you ship it to Canada for free?
Do you sell this bread maker on Amazon?
Thank you.
We don't ship to Canada, as it is designed to operate on 220v 50hz power. It is not available on Amazon. We are hoping to have a North American version available next year.
I have a few questions about the Sana Bread Maker:
1- Can you bake Gluten Free bread? Do you have a specific program for gluten free bread?
2-Can you bake Sourdough bread?
3-Can you make Pizza dough?
4- Can you bake Scones?
Thanks
Nuno
The Sana Bread Maker doesn't have specific programs for these items. It is designed for the user to enter and store their own programs according to their favorites recipes. There are 7 slots for programs, and parameters can be adjusted including kneading time and speed, 2 rise times and temperatures, preheat time and temperature, and 3 bake times and temperatures.
We are working on a new model of bread maker which we hope to have ready next year. The interface programming is taking longer than expected. This model will be compatible with North American power.
I just bought your bread maker Sana Standard .
I have a question about" Important safeguards"
(page 2 of the Instruction manual)
It is said :"Before baking do not forget to cure the heat element inside
the bread maker ... program No4 15mn 180°C ...."
I don't really understand why and
is it absolutely neccessary to do this before each baking ?
Thanks in advance for your answer .BR
The factory puts a temporary coating on the heat element. Curing the heat element just burns off any residue before your first baking. It only needs to be done once, before using the bread machine for the first time.
Is it possible to make bread using yeast? I can't see it in the recipe book.
Thank you.
You can also see a recipe here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt3VlebC9Qw
Note that this recipe uses homemade yeast, so be sure to omit the second rising phase as noted in the video.
We don't have a mailing list, but we will update our Facebook page Sana Products as we have more information. We are still hoping for next year.
Take care
We are working on a model for 110v systems.
USA plug?
Is teflon used in sana products?
Thanks.
Freight to Australia is 130€, although the cost of the machine is reduced by 53€ due to EU taxes deducted.
The main body is manufactured in China. The stainless steel components are made in Europe.
Thank you.
Thank you
C. Messina
Unfortunately it won't function on US 110V power. We hope to have a US model next year.
It's possible to import the current machine to Europe and many customers have done this, but it's not something we generally recommend due to the following factors:
1) An expensive (apprx. $90) step up voltage transfermer is needed to operate it on US 110V
2) Shipping is pricey
3) No service centers in the USA
Best regards
I replied directly to your email address. We're hoping to have it available early next year.
Best regards
Although the hertz will only slughtly affect the rotation of the kneaders.
Thank you!
I live in the US but I’ve been wanting one of your stainless steel bread machines for a long time. Do you have plans to make one we can get and use here? Or any advise on how to get one from Europe?
Thank you so much,
Laurie Alvarez
We are currently in the prototype stage of a new model for the US market which we expect to have available next year.
