Marlus 650 reverse osmosis system

Reverse Osmosis is a process in which dissolved inorganic solids (such as salts) are removed from a solution (such as water). This is accomplished by household water pressure pushing the tap water through a semipermeable membrane. The Marlus system forces water through a reverse osmosis membrane and several other filters. The filtered water is stored in a pressurized tank, while the impurities are flushed away. The result is ultra-clean and hygienic drinking water.

PRE-FILTER is used to protect the reverse osmosis membrane by removing sand, silt, dirt, and other sediment that could clog the system.

CARBON FILTER and 2ND CARBON FILTER are used to remove chlorine and other contaminants that affect the performance and life of the RO membrane as well as improve the taste and odor of your water.

REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE is the heart of the system. It´s designed to remove a wide variety of contaminants. After passing through the membrane, the water goes into a pressurized storage tank.

POST FILTER - After the water leaves the storage tank, but before going to the faucet, the treated water goes through a final “post filter”. Any remaining tastes or odors are removed from the water by post filtration “polishing”.

MINERALIZER - Reverse osmosis filtration removes many things from water including beneficial minerals. To ensure that our drinking water still has healthy amounts of magnesium and calcium, a remineralizer filter is used to add these minerals back.  

STORAGE TANK holds 12 liters of water. A bladder inside the tank keeps water pressurized in the tank when it is full. The size of tank is 28 x 28 x 40 cm. To conserve water, the Marlus 650 has an automatic shut off valve which closes when the tank is full.

Normal tap water can contain many chemical substances like chlorine, lead, arsenic, mercury, and various organic substances. These can accumulate in your body, causing  many health problems. Reverse osmosis provides filtered water that contains less than 30 mg/l of soluble substances, which is close to distilled water.

Reverse osmosis removes mechanical impurities, nitrates, nitrites, heavy metals (cadmium, lead, mercury, berilium, arsenic, etc.), organic compounds (phenols, chlorinated hydrocarbons, chlorine) and microbiological contamination.
